Evidence from the Catholic Church
The Catholic Church supports and encourages exchanges of information between religions
Pope Paul 6 (Oct 28, 1965) stated that other religions reflect a “ray of that truth which enlightens all men,” and encouraged Christians to speak and collaborate with members of other religions to promote harmony and demonstrate Christian faith. Pope John Paul 2, writing in 2001, commented that cross-religion understanding is even more important in today’s “climate of increased cultural and religious pluralism.” |
