Chaminade's Graduation Outcomes
They are Faith-Filled Persons:
i. All students have a clear, growing understanding of the fundamentals of Marianist values and the Catholic Christian faith along with an open and accepting mind to other religions. ii. They are prayerful persons, able to recognize their God-given gifts, and actively participate in their faith community. They act on gospel values and live generous lives of loving service: i. They have strong, positive moral values and are committed to ongoing personal faith and character development. They are Academically Prepared Persons: i. They have the intellectual, moral, creative and organizational skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in higher education and life paths of their choice. ii. They are effective written and oral communicators and critical thinkers who have the skills necessary to interact in a multi-cultural community. They are able to apply knowledge to practical situations using creative thinking and critical analysis to manage change and shape the future. i. They are technologically literate people who understand the use and implications of technology in our world. They have a sense of family spirit: i. They are holistic individuals who demonstrate the capacity for enhancing and sustaining mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellness for their personal benefit, the benefit of their family, as well as for the benefit of the larger human family; ii. They are motivated individuals who can prioritize options, access and process information, manage time, and assume responsibility for their choices; iii. They are capable of maintaining and modeling family spirit in their interpersonal relationships characterized by openness, respect, integrity, and collaboration. They are aware of their role in building a more just and peaceful world: i. They are contributing citizens of our world -- informed about social issues and committed to improving the quality of life for all, particularly the poor, marginalized and oppressed; ii. They are able to follow an argument and understand another's point of view as well as how to evaluate alternatives, to judge prudently, and to choose responsibly to create a better world |
